The Por La Gente Association presents our annual Latino Invitational Basketball Tournament. The tournament will be based on the maximum of 24 teams with a confirmed entry approved by the PLG basketball tournament committee. The tournament format will be double elimination. Each team will consist of a 10-man roster. Play will be in accordance with the rules and regulations set by the City of Racine Park and Recreation Department, the PLG Tournament Guidelines and the PLG Basketball game rules.
Tournament dates are scheduled for Friday, April 3rd through Sunday, April 5th, 2020.
All games will be played at the Cesar Chavez Community Center, 2221 Douglas Avenue, Racine WI 53402. Liability Waiver: Por La Gente Association & The Cesar Chavez Community Center will not be held liable for any injuries that may occur to a player(s) as a result of participating in this tournament. Both of these groups will also not be responsible for any individual's personal items that may be damaged, destroyed, lost or stolen while on the tournament premises.
Carry-Ins will not be permitted at the tournament site. Prizes and Awards: 1st Place winners will receive a team trophy and 10 championship T-shirts. 2nd and 3rd place will receive a team trophy. In addition, a tournament Most Valuable Player and Por La Gente All-Tournament Team will be selected. All checks must clear by the entry deadline of Friday, March 20th, 2020 to confirm entry into the tournament.
Managers and Team Members must agree to follow the guidelines set forth by the tournament committee. Managers are responsible for informing team members of these guidelines.

*General admission fees are as follows: $3.00 per day/per adult; $2.00 for all students (K-12)
*Players and manager will not be charged once they are registered in the tournament. NEW Rule [Established in 2018]: Nine (9) of the Ten (10) players MUST BE OF LATINO HERITAGE (defined in Tournament Guidelines). We are allowing one (1) non-Latino to participate/play. The Non-Latino should be listed on the roster line item #10. IT IS THE MANAGER'S RESPONSIBILITY TO PRODUCE PROPER IDENTIFICATION UPON REQUEST. Players will be required to have both a valid Driver's License and Birth Certificate.
