Nelson LC was formed in 1998 to pursue new technologies in classroom additions for a very fast growing student population to the Florida School Systems. As a pre-engineered and pre-cast company; in 1999 they developed one of the first re-locatable concrete classrooms.

In 2003, Nelson started a new venture and began design on a new light weight panelized building. Using a new innovative insert and receiver system for production, transport and installation; the building was put in to production in 2004. It is currently the standard by which re-locatable classrooms are built.

This innovative design eliminated the need for large separation between buildings and solved the need for stairs and ramps. In 2006 an idea to address the concerns of teachers and students safety to and from class was faced head on.  Mobile Walkways, Inc. was started as a sister company to develop a mobile walkway system for the mobile classroom market.

Using a unique lower and upper runner system, a flexible and extremely strong covered walkway system was finalized and made available to the public In May 2007.
