Tom Elliott, President of WebDrafter.com, Inc.

Tom Elliott is a native of Arlington, Massachusetts, born in 1968.  After graduation from Purdue University (in West Lafayette, IN), he was commissioned as a Naval officer in 1990 where he served aboard submarines and aircraft carriers.

While in the Navy, Tom started a computer business in 1992 (called "EllioTronics").  The business was very "portable," focusing on hardware and network consulting.  In 2000, EllioTronics was renamed to "WebDrafter.com" and shifted from a concentration on hardware to Web site design.  After much success and expansion into the Internet environment, Tom became concurrently involved with and was recognized as the 2002 Certified Internet Trainers (CIT) of the Year for a North Carolina based Internet marketing company, and was subsequently invited to an Internet Advisory Board position.  He joined their corporate team in 2003 as the Director of Internet Training and Sales after resigning his commission in the military 13 years into his 20-year career.  Then in 2005, he resigned from the corporate environment in North Carolina to focus on expanding WebDrafter.com, Inc. on a full-time basis.

In 2005 he earned his Master’s of Science Degree in Information Systems from the Florida Institute of Technology, and is currently in pursuit of a law degeee.  His other business affiliations include serving on the Board of Directors for the Greensboro, NC, Better Business Bureau, serving on the Bachelor Degree Program Advisory Board of ECPI School of Technology in Virginia Beach, VA, and serving as an Advisory Board member for Dad's Club, Inc. a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.  Of note, he has also been the president of the Oak Ridge, NC, Business Network International (BNI) chapter, “Triad Biz-Links.”

Following his passion for flying, in December 2005, he completed his Commercial Pilot License as well as his multi-engine rating, and is now working towards his Flight Instructor certification.  Using his flying experience to give something back to the community, he is a volunteer for the Angel Flight program to benefit ambulatory hospital patients who require air transportation in conjunction with their medical treatment.

Shortly, his new book "Build It, Buy It, or Go Bust: How to Select Your Website Solution" will be available to the public.  The book impartially discusses how business owners should proceed in investigating their options as they undertake the seemingly complex task of researching Web design companies, do-it-yourself solutions, and more.  In his writing, Tom applies his many years of computer, Website, and SEO experience to provide guidance and advice to anyone in the market for a Website, independent and specifically without reference to WebDrafter.com, Inc.  In the interest of ethics (i.e., NOT stacking the deck in the favor of WebDrafter.com), this quick-to-read book provides plain-language explanations of the Website market, answers to frequently asked questions, and specific endorsements for other companies so that you, the consumer, can make the best informed Web decision for your business.
