Marian J. (Conroy) Mesarch, 88, died Friday, Oct. 31, 2008 at the Beth Israel Hospital in Boston. She was the widow of the late Victor M. Mesarch. Born in Greenville, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Walter & Elsie (Dauphin) Conroy, she graduated from Meadville High School in Meadville, PA in 1938 as a member of the National Honor Society. A homemaker, Mrs. Mesarch moved to Marion in 1961 from Germany where she was stationed overseas with her husband. She was an avid gardener, enjoyed knitting and needlepoint and loved cooking. She was especially known for her Christmas cookies. Survivors include his daughter, Chris A. Mesarch of Somerville; two sons, Victor P. Mesarch of Woodbury, TN and Michael V. Mesarch of Oregon. Funeral services will be private. Burial will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Arrangements are by the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham. For on-line condolences, please visit: www.ccgfuneralhome.com Alan N. Sundquist, 67, of New Bedford died Nov. 12, 2008 at St. Luke’s Hospital after a long illness. Born in Springfield, MA, the son of the late Neil and Mary (Bieda) Sundquist, he lived on Cape Cod most of his life. He was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church in Hyannis. Mr. Sundquist was formerly employed as a general contractor for several years and was a former firefighter and E.M.T. in Mattapoisett. While living in Springfield many years ago, he was employed by Fountain Plating. He enjoyed photography. Survivors include his daughter, Bethany E. Payton and her husband Kenneth W. of Mattapoisett; a sister, Carolyn Ruggles of Maine; numerous nieces and nephews.
