Bruno Tamburrini, Sr., 61, died Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008 at the Tobey Hospital in Wareham unexpectedly. He was the husband of Deborah A. (Tisdale) Tamburrini and the late Mary Lou Tamburrini. Born in Atina, Italy, Mr. Tamburrini immigrated to the United States in 1958 when he was eleven years old. A previous resident of Newton, he moved to Buzzards Bay in 1989 then to Wareham in 1999. Mr. Tamburrini was a general contractor for many years and he also was a cobbler and the proprietor of Village Shoe Repair in Sandwich. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and cars. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Bruno Tamburrini, Jr. and Vincent W. Tamburrini both of Wareham; two brothers, Antonio Tamburrini of Waltham and Dario Tamburrini of Natick; a sister, Irma DiDino of W. Newton; six grandchildren, Bruno James III, Daphne, Vincent II, Caleb, Aidan and Rebecca Tamburrini. He was predeceased by a brother, the late Valentino Tamburrini. She was the wife of Lawrence F. Raymond. (Capt., USN Ret.) Born in Brookline, the daughter of the late Michael & Dorothy (Degan) Murphy, Mrs. Raymond was raised in Onset and graduated from Wareham High School in 1953. A homemaker, she has lived in Orlando for the last 17 years. Besides her husband, she is survived by her children, Deborah Ann Lemm of Chesapeake, VA, Lawrence Michael Raymond and Kathleen Marie Doyle both of Orlando, FL and Jeffrey Allen Raymond of Kimberly, WI; her brother, Michael Murphy of Onset; her sister, Kathryn Antell of Wareham and 10 grandchildren. Rogers, 82, of Marion, MA and Clearwater, FL, died Thursday, Sept. 18, 2008 at the Forestview Nursing Home in Wareham, MA. He was the husband of Ann Morse Rogers. Born in Dayton, OH, the son of the late Harry L. & Artie (Lippincott) Rogers, Mr. Rogers enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps at the age of 17 and served during World War II. Mr. Rogers was employed as a commercial photographer for Hobart Manufacturing, Inc. He was a member of the Church of the Beatitudes in St. Petersburg, FL. Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, Mark Rogers, daughter in-law, Cyn Dee, two grandchildren, Ethan and Cynna Demi, all of Gilbert, AZ, and three nieces and a nephew. He was predeceased by his son, the late William Rogers and his sisters, the late Betty Wolf and Phyllis Gray. Wayne D. Peterson, 60, died Thursday, Sept. 18, 2008 at his home in Wareham after an extended illness. He was the husband of Ruth H. (Liegakos) Peterson. Born in Portland, ME, the son of the late Sherman D. & Betty Jean (King) Peterson, he graduated from Tewksbury High School. He also attended Northern Essex Community College and Merrimac College. A previous resident of Tewksbury and Westboro, Mr. Peterson has lived in Wareham for 26 years. Mr. Peterson was sales manager for Polyply, Inc. of New Bedford and Accurate Plastics of Falmouth. He was a member of Social Harmony Lodge A.F. & A.M. in Wareham and Community Associates. He enjoyed fishing, golf and NASCAR and will be missed by his family and many friends. Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, Keith Peterson and his wife Christine of Mountain Home, ID, his daughter, Erica Asaro and her husband Michael of Fairfield, CT; his brother, Jerry Peterson and his wife Valerie and his sister, Leslie Piecuch and her husband Walter all of Nashua, NH; his grandchildren, Zachary R. Peterson, John M. Asaro and Scarlet M. Asaro; his mother in-law, Helen Liegakos of Tewksbury; his sister in law, Heather Cardin and her husband Thomas of Lebanon, ME; his brothers in-law; James Liegakos and his wife Terry of Gloucester and Michael Liegakos of Tewksbury; his beloved friend, John Grenda and several nieces, nephews and cherished friends. His funeral was held Sunday, Sept. 21 at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway (Rt. 28), Wareham. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
