SolutionsHere Are Two Solutions to Help You Increase Passion, Liberate Your Energy and Lighten Your Load:Commitment: Peter Senge provides a 7 point continuum of commitment that ranges from apathy (I don't care one way or the other) to compliance to 100% commitment. He suggests that at a minimum, we should strive to be operating at a level of Genuine Compliance which equates to loyalty and allegiance. I want to do "it" because I want to comply. 100% commitment means I will take whatever steps are necessary to make whatever "it" is happen because I have committed to do so. Why would you nail yourself so tightly to an outcome? I personally believe 100% commitment is about 100% freedom of choice. "I choose this outcome and I am committed to making it happen." 100% Genuine Compliance also means I will do what it takes to get it done, but I'm doing it because someone else said it was the right thing to do. If you want to increase your sense of intention and accountability, commit, not 98% (leaves a back door), but 100% and gauge your results. Accountability: Context and Associates Founder, Randy Revelle says accountability is a faith-based notion that I attract to me that which occurs. It isn't the "T"ruth, and it's not about fault or blame. It is merely a position to hold that says, "this situation is mine to own and deal with". I personally would go (at least) one step further and say, "and I have the ultimate choice about how I allow myself to be affected by it". Accountability is a belief that keeps the ball in my court, so that I am the one who furthers my action, deepens my learning and moves myself forward. When I expect you (or them, whoever Them is, or it, or the government) to be accountable, then I have let go of my concept of my own power and am at the affect of Them. Choosing a faith-based position of accountability is a powerful stand for Me! Choice! And my own definition of success!
