Welcome! Our congregation has been a voice for social justice and liberal religion in Northwest Ohio for over 150 years. Born of the Jewish and Christian traditions, we keep our minds open to the religious questions people have struggled with in all times and places.

Up Coming Sermon Titles and ThemesJuly 6 – Rules for Living, Led by Rev. Rod. Rules for living? We all have them. Sometimes we are aware of them and sometimes we’re not. They are the rules we live by. It’s what our parents tried to teach us, and what we try to teach our children and grandchildren. So, I’ll offer you five such rules that I try to live by. July 13 - Running the Great Race, Led by Bob Rudolph, CLL. The inspiration for the sermon comes from St. Paul’s second letter to Timothy in which he writes, “I have run the great race, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith.” As a congregation, we are involved in a great enterprise that in some ways is like the Iditarod run to Nome, Alaska, to bring the life-saving medicine. Some of us run only a short way and drop out. Others are in for the long haul but cannot finish for a whole host of reasons. Some join along the way. What is your role in the great race? July 20 -“A Memorial Service for 2210 Collingwood Blvd.”, Led by Rev. Rod, Rev. Lynn and CLL Bob. On our next to the last service in this building we thought it appropriate for us to conduct a Memorial Service for the building that has served us for so many years. During the service you’ll have a chance to share a favorite memory of the building (especially the Sanctuary) and the wonderful people who have made it such a meaningful place to worship. July 27 - Changing Partners” Led by your ministers and musicians. This will be Rod’s last Sunday with you as your Interim Minister, so we want to make it a transition from Rod to Beth – changing partners, if you will. You are also changing partners in terms of church buildings. We plan to start this service in the usual way in the Collingwood building, travel in a car caravan to the Glendale building, and end the service there. Come, let’s celebrate together and take the next steps (dance metaphor intended).
