Effective 12-1-93, all new trailers 10,000 GVWR, and over 80” wide must have reflective tape. For side application, 2” or 2-1” red/white tape must cover a minimum of 50% of the trailer length. For rear application, 2” red/white tape on the horizontal bar of the I.C.C. bumper and 2” x 12” long strips in the upper corners.
