About TSI Therapy

Philosophy of Seminar Series

It has been my personal experience as well as the experience of the thousands of healthcare professionals, that there is a tendency to treat the patient’s symptoms locally, at the site of pain. This is done using our preferred form of treatment (i.e. modalities, manual and/or exercise therapy) instead of searching for the source of their pain.

Our body is composed of four main tissues: epithelial, connective, muscle, and nervous tissue. Over the years our bodies are subjected to various forms of stress (physical, biochemical, environmental, psychological and emotional). These stresses will affect all four tissues of the body. It is well known that several patients can have the same location of symptoms (i.e. back or shoulder pain) yet have different causes for the pain. As therapists, we need to be complete in our evaluations. We should be able to evaluate and treat the affected muscles, joints and the fascia of the body.

It is for these reasons that this series of 13 courses was assembled. Our focus is to teach you how to evaluate and treat the Joints, Bone, Muscle, Fascia and Swelling in the body. This is accomplished through the following manual therapies seminars.

Joints:
Muscle Energy Technique for the Lower Quadrant
Muscle Energy Technique for the Upper Quadrant

Muscle
Positional Release Therapy for the Lower Quadrant
Positional Release Therapy for the Upper Quadrant

Fascia
Fascial Release Technique Level I
Fascial Release Technique Level II
Fascial Release Technique Level III
Fascial Release Technique Level IV

Swelling
Lymph Drainage Technique for the Orthopedic Patient

Both manual and exercise therapies should be used in conjunction. The following seminar will instruct you on several forms of exercises that will help support your manual therapy.

Structural Integrity Exercise Therapy Level I
Once you have learned the manual and exercise therapy techniques, our attention will be focused on improving your evaluation skills and coordinating the entire system. It is not enough to know the techniques--you need to know where to begin. The following seminar will teach you how to find the key lesion in the body and how to develop both local and global treatment strategies.

Integrated Systems Evaluation Level I
There are times where the source of the patient’s complaint may not respond to treatment of the muscle, joints, fascia, bone or circulation. The following seminar will explore how faulty communication within the biological computer can lead to pain and dysfunction within our body. The body-mind complex is a series of systems that need clear communication channels between them in order to maintain harmony and health. If those lines of communication are compromised, then disharmony and poor communication will lead to lower vitality, lower resistance, disease and long term breakdown in the form of degenerative processes. Body Talk will help to reestablish those lines of communications and assist the body to help maintain its own health.  Click here for more details.

Body Talk Module I and II
Stress and emotions issues can play a major factor in the patient’s pain and dysfunction. They can be the reason why the patient does not respond well to treatment or flares up very easily. The following seminar will help you understand how your mind works and how it process information.  You will learn how to create a new dominant internal network of thoughts, emotions and beliefs that will support the outcomes you want most in life.
