Wilderness and Wildlands

This section of the website will present an overview of wilderness and wildland areas within Central Oregon.  Dedicated to those who prefer a little less pavement in their outdoor adventures, this page will provide information about wilderness areas, national forests and grasslands, public lands, wild and scenic rivers, natural areas, and wildlife refuges, to name a few.  In addition, you’ll find maps of these areas and learn which activities are permitted and encouraged (and which are not).  Links will be provided for hunting and fishing regulations, too.  Do you hear the call of the wild?
