Baptisms
SJF follows the guidelines and policies of Canon Law and the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Couples and godparents are required to take a baptism preparation course before their child is to be baptized. At least one of the godparents must be a Catholic in “good standing” – that is a practicing member of their church.

English Pre-Baptism Classes are offered on the 1st Sunday of the month, 10:30am - 12:00pm - except during the seasons of Lent and Advent.
English Baptisms are celebrated on the 2nd Saturday of each month at 12:00pm, except during the seasons of Lent and Advent.
Classes scheduled in English are on : 02/01/09, 06/07/09, 09/27/09.
Spanish Pre-Baptism Classes are offered on the 2nd Wednesday of the month, 7:00pm - 8:30pm, except during the seasons of Lent and Advent.
Spanish Baptisms are celebrated on the 3rd Saturday of each month at 12:00pm, except during the seasons of Lent and Advent.
Classes scheduled in Spanish are on: 01/14/09, 02/18/09, 05/13/09, 06/17/09, 07/15/09, 08/12/09, 09/16/09, 10/14/09, 11/18/09.
