the Saint Jane Frances de Chantal in 1996, where he currently serves as its Pastor. He earned his Masters of Divinity at the Washington Theological Union in Washington, DC.
He has served as the campus minister at Our Lady of Mount Carmel High School in
Lima, Peru (1996-1998); as an assistant pastor in the parish of St. Jane Frances de Chantal(1999-2003); and as an assistant pastor in Saint Thomas the Apostle Church in Chicago, Illinois. He had also served as a brother-intern for two years in the shanty town of Jose Galvez in his early formation years as a Carmelite (1991-1993) on the outskirts of Lima, where he began to improve his fluency in the Spanish language.
At one of his homilies, Rev. Lansang mentioned that all are destined to be a “light to the nations” by virtue of the same Spirit of Christ given at Baptism. His travels and formation have helped him to grow and to understand his vocation and spiritual journey. “It’s not so much that I go to illuminate so many places because – Christ is already there! The reality of my experience is that I go to different places to find Christ in all of us – and in doing so, you bring out the Christ in me!” | |
