Ministry Mission Statement:  The lector has a crucial role in the liturgy; that of proclaiming the word of God to the congregation. As much as possible, lectors are assigned to the Mass of their choice.  A prospective lector will meet with the Lector Coordinator in the church in order to practice reading and to go over procedures. The most important requirements for a lector are commitment, preparation, technical skill related to microphone use, and personal communications skills. This ministry is open to all confirmed parishioners who meet these requirements.
