Communication: Think not only about how you speak, but also how you hold your body and use facial expressions or hand gestures. No matter what the job, non-verbal communication tells a good interviewer just as much about you as your spoken words do.
|
Look people in the face, and smile. Give good firm handshakes. Introduce yourself using both first and last name. Stand and sit up straight with shoulders back relaxed, not stiffly. Cross your legs or ankles when sitting. Address your interviewer by name as introduced. Be polite. Speak clearly, use good grammar and complete sentences. Be sure you know and can explain everything that is in your resume. Do not allow yourself to overreact to any statement made by the interviewer. Overt expressions may give a poor impression.
