Children’s Educational Classes Smolak Farms 2007 Greenhouse Workshops REGISTRATION FOR PRE-SCHOOL CHILDREN AGES 3.5 5 years of age WORKSHOPS: Tuesday & Thursday Starting the week of November 6th 10:30-12:00 $25.00 per day - $45.00 both days Fee includes all materials, snack of donut and cider. Limit 15 per class November 6 & 8 An Apple a Day! Come learn about Johnny Apple seed and the Smolak Farms orchards. Create dried apple ornaments and apple prints! November 13 & 15 Pumpkin Party! Halloween is over but pumpkins and gourds still abound at Smolak Farms! Well make our own harvest pieces using pumpkins and gourds.

November 20 Tractors and Farm Machinery What machines do we use to care for the farm? Well visit the tractors here on the farm (weather permitting) and create our own machines! November 27 & 29 Animals in Winter How does an animal prepare for the long, cold winter? Well visit the farm animals and make animal treats to take home and use in your yard. (Please note: Peanut butter may be used.) December 4 & 6 Gingerbread Time! Oh, the sweet smell of the holidays! Join us to decorate Smolak Farms gingerbread men and build graham cracker houses. We guarantee you ll want to eat your creations December 11 & 13 Gifts from the Farm Its the season of giving! Children will make note cards using farm crops and dough ornaments to wrap and give to love ones. December 18 & 20 Oh, Christmas Tree With just a few days left until Christmas, well plant fir seedlings and make miniature wreaths to give to someone special! Reservations: Smolak Farms Greenhouse Workshops are offered in November and December.

Reservations are required and can be made in the Education Office or by calling (978) 687-4029. Full payment is due upon reservation and is non-refundable. Arrival and Check In: Workshop participants should arrive at scheduled time in the Education office. Last minute payments or reservations need to be processed in the Education Office before the workshop. We accept cash, check, VISA or MasterCard. A $25 fee will be assessed for returned checks. Facilities and Dress: Smolak Farms has portable toilets on the premises and hand sanitizer will be available. Please have the children wear appropriate clothing, e.g. clothing that can get messy!
