The Mutual Storytelling Game allows students to select background storyboards from home, school, the neighborhood, etc., and superimpose characters from diverse cultural backgrounds (African American, Hispanic American, Asian American and White) and of different ages. There are even wild animals and dinosaurs to serve as characters! The student tells a story and the educator/counselor analyses and retells the story using pro-therapeutic strategies to indirectly create changes in the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors of children and adolescents. Using this Windows-based platform, you can print the storyboard, make notes on it, and keep a running account of the themes and the progress made.
