The library is a collection of 280 full-color photographs specially designed for use with young children (i.e., children age 3-0 through 8-11). Each photograph depicts a word that children need to know and use in their everyday speech. The photos also include words children need to know in order to read and write in first through third grade.


The photos 3" x 4" are grouped into 17 convenient categories. These categories represent important aspects of a young child's life. Possession of a basic vocabulary relating to each of these critical areas is an essential accomplishment in a child's language and cognitive development.
