How do I get started?

Find out what IBM Power Systems offers to educators and join the IBM Academic Initiative program.

Setting up your environment

Prior to attending the orientation session below we ask that you complete the documents needed to create your environment on the HUB system. Upon completion please email to the Academic Initiative team.

Orientation session

Prior to accessing the HUB system you will be asked to attend an hour long hands on orientation session to become familiar with the HUB. This orientation is conducted via a conference call and PowerPoint slide show. During this session we will also walk you through how to access your environment as well as submitting help desk tickets, etc.

We recommend that the professor(s) that will be teaching the Power Systems curriculum as well as the system administrator attend this session. Follow up sessions can be scheduled as needed.
