Emergency Services

Police: Roxbury is served by the Connecticut State Police, Troop A division, located in Southbury. Troop A's non-emergency phone number is 203-267-2200.

Trooper Frans Dielemans is the Roxbury Resident State Trooper. He is responsible for oversight of Roxbury's law enforcement needs. His office is located at the Town Hall, he is generally there Monday through Friday during business hours. His office number is 860-354-0089. There is also a part time Police Constable that patrols our town.

Fire: The Roxbury Volunteer Fire Department serves the town's firefighting, hazardous materials, and rescue needs. They are located at the firehouse which is at 27 North Street.

Emergency Medical Services: Roxbury Ambulance Association serves the town's emergency medical needs. They provide first response EMT-level service, with many of the volunteers equipped with Defibrillators in their cars. The town has one ambulance, and paramedic services are provide by a regional program.

Emergency Management: The town is involved in many collaborations that serve the needs of the community during a crisis. Bernie Meehan serves as the Emergency Management Director and is closely supportedby First Selectman Barbara Henry. Roxbury belongs to the Newtown Health District, where Director Donna Culbert is also the Deputy Emergency Management Director of Newtown, and is a wealth of knowledge, that also benefits the community.
