The Roxbury Ambulance Association has provided Emergency Medical Services (EMS) since 1968. The service is comprised of approximately 30 volunteer professionals who are all certified to at least the EMT-Basic level. Advanced Life Support is provided through a regional paramedic program based at New Milford Hospital and shared with six other area towns.

Announcements:

Roxbury Ambulance along with the six other towns in the New Milford Hospital catchment region, have signed on with EMSCharts.com as the software provider for the electronic patient care reports (E-PCR) initiative the state has mandated. EMT's began doing their 'run forms' on computers effective December 1st, 2007.   Contact EMS-1 for more info.

• Welcome our newest members: Sharon McGuinn EMS 43, and Bryan Finch EMS 44.

• The Ambulance Replacement Committee is well underway, if you have any ideas, please contact Aaron Hodge, EMS 3 at Eagle5473@aol.com.

How to Join

The Roxbury Ambulance Association welcomes anyone to join the service. To be an active member you must become an Emergency Medical Technician and maintain your EMT Status. Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of every month at the Roxbury Firehouse at 7:30pm. Feel free to stop at that time to talk to us or apply for membership, or you can call Chief Bernie Meehan anytime at 203 948 2561.
