WHOSGOINWHOSSTAYING WINS FEATURED $9,000
TROT AT ROCKINGHAM PARK ON SUNDAY; EXTENDS WIN STREAK
SALEM, NH-- Whosgoinwhosstayin enhanced his
lofty reputation on Sunday by winning the featured $9,000 trot in
his personal best time and remained undefeated at Rockingham
Park.
Dispatched as the 9-5 favorite in the field of
eight top class trotters and driven by Walter Ross, Jr., Whosgoinwhosstayin
rated off the early pace before making his move in the stretch and drew off to
win by three-and-a-half lengths in 1:55.3 on a fast track. The final time was
his personal best and is only two ticks off the track and New England record of
1:55.1 for horses of his age, sex, and gait set by Mr. Eeero in the first
division of the $300,000 Zweig Memorial Trot at Rockingham on August 8,
2003.
The three-year-old gelding, who is trained by Linda
Kakaley, has now won 18 of his 16 lifetime starts and has never finished worse
than second. Whosgoinwhosstayin was a perfect 12-for-12 last year in a
sensational campaign at Pompano Park and the highlight of his juvenile season on
the track was a victory in the $20,000 Final of a late closing
series.
With Sunday's win the home-bred son of Basil and
the Wall Street Banker mare Benn's Margie upped his lifetime earnings to over
$100,000 for owner Sophia Valkanoff and Kakaley.
Live racing resumes on Wednesday with an 11-race
card and post time is 1:05 PM.
