(MMA) MIXED MARTIAL ARTS EVENT RETURNS TO ROCKINGHAM PARK WITH COMBAT ZONE 29 ON FRIDAY AUGUST 21st

SALEM, NH-- The fastest growing professional sport and biggest phenomenon in the country, MMA (Mixed Martial Arts), returns to Rockingham Park on Friday, August 21, 2009 for another action-packed and thrilling event comprised of 13 cage fights featuring the top fighters in the area.

The main event of Combat Zone 29 pits professional fighters Nate Kittredge (8-1-0) vs. Ryan Contaldi (4-1-0)  and the co-main event will be between pros Brent Kinberger (5-0-0) and Magno Almeiga (6-1-0-0). Kittredge, who fights out of the Green Mountain Boys Studio in Vermont, is enormously popular with cage fighting fans throughout New England while his opponent, Ryan Contaldi is coming all of the way from New York to accept the challenge in the 195-pound weight class.

In the co-feature, Brent Kinberger, an electrical engineer representing the Milletich Fighting System in Hooksett, NH, draws a very tough opponent in Almegia, who earned a black belt in Brazilian Ju Jitsu and is traveling from Brazil to try and submit the undefeated Kinberger in the 155-pound division.

Another pro match that is highly anticipated by fight fans from all over the area will be between Dan Pasquarella (3-0-0), a homegrown boy from Manchester, NH representing the Milletich Fighting System in Hooksett, NH, and Mike Geurin (5-0-0) out of Team Bomb Squad. Since both of these fighters in the 185 pound division have a strong wrestling background, this shapes up as an excellent battle that will necessitate one of them dropping from the ranks of the undefeated.

James Soucie (0-1-0), the brother of the highly regarded and respected Jeff Soucie from Team Fury in Methuen, Ma., takes on John Levasseur (0-0-0) in another much anticpated pro match-up. Jeff Soucie was eventually submitted by Dennis Olsen in a thrilling and intensely fierce main event that headlined Combat Zone 28 at The Rock last May.

Lamont Milton (1-0-0), who also represents Team Fury and won his first fight at Rockingham Park on the same Combat Zone 28 card, is gaining a following and he returns in the amateur division against Corey Wilson as he makes his debut in the cage.

The card begins with five intriguing amateur fights and will be followed by seven highly competitive pro bouts in Rockingham Park's Sports Club. The first fighters will step into the cage at 8:00 PM and the doors open at 6:30 PM.

Tickets range in price from $120 for ringside seats to $40 for General Admission, although all of the $50 seats are sold out. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of tickets, which are going quickly, will benefit the New Hampshire Food Bank.
