Hi. I am Nichole Rozelle and I have been with Renaissance since June of 2005. I am a childbirth and postpartum doula.
I first became interested in being a doula while I was pregnant with my daughter a few years ago. I enjoy having the opportunity to facilitate confidence in Mommies through labour and the postpartum period. I believe the process of birth is one of the most natural thing a womens body can do. Labour and birth is an amazing, empowering experience. I think when a family invites you to provide support for them that they are inviting you to a sacred time.
During the past couple of years I have gained extensive experience with both families of singletons and twins. I thoroughly enjoy the process of watching families as they move through from totally unfamiliarity and apprehension to a place of confidence. Once again this can be a vulnerable time and to be able to be a part of this journey with families, to provide encouragement and education, feels like a gift to me.
I am certified as a doula through the International Center for Traditional Childbearing (ICTC) and will soon be certified though DONA International as well.
Blessings, Nichole |
