Kate Jenkins
I am the biological mother of two and grandmother of three and feel very blessed to be called mom and grandma by many more.

Being a certified doula has given me the chance to look at how mothers were supported in the past.  Being a survivor of postpartum depression and having a difficult time breastfeeding, I know how crucial support can be.

I am honored to now be a peer counselor with Baby Blues Connection so other moms will have the support needed.   I do not want other mothers to ever go through the same things I did because of lack of knowledge and resources.  There are many types of support in our community and my goal is to help families plug into them.

All mothers should have the encouragement that this is “their baby" and that there is "no one way" or "right way" to be a mommy. It is your way.  You and your baby, with positive support will find the way that works best for the both of you and your family.

I look forward to meeting 'moms' (and families) and becoming part of their support team.

Kate
