Ticket Information

Standard Rates
Adults - $20

*Children under 5 will not be permitted into the theatre.

Group Rates

15-30 - $15/person
31+ - $14/person

*All Group Tickets must be purchased in advance.  Although the tickets do not have to be paid for at the time of booking, there are no refunds or cancellations - so you will be held responsible for the number of tickets booked.  To ensure a smooth transaction, we recommend that each group designate a single individual to be responsible for the booking and payment arrangements.

Special/Reduced Rates

Family Packages - $45.00
A perfect night out for the whole family!  Two adult tickets and two children tickets for a little more than the regular price of two adults.

Dinner Packages: $75.00
Bishop's Cafe Sol - $75.00 includes dinner/lunch entree for two (excluding specials, drinks and gratuity) and two tickets to the show of your choice.  Reservations must be made at the Playhouse Merced Box Office.  Bishop's Cafe Sol packages are available Friday Evening, Saturday Matinee and Saturday Evening performances. (Evening packages not available until October 2008)

Fernando's Bistro - $75.00 includes dinner for two (excluding specials, drinks and gratuity) and two tickets to the show of your choice.  Reservations must be made at the Playhouse Merced Box Office.  Fernando's Bistro packages are available for Friday and Saturday Evening performances only. 

Student Preview Night - Adults $8; Students/Children $5
On a low budget, but still want to see the show? Come watch the final dress rehearsals on the Wednesday  or Thursday night preceeding each show's opening.  Tickets are only $8 and $5 at the door! 

Student Rush - $5
The Student Rush begins at 7:25pm for all evening performances, and at 1:25pm for Matinees.  During Student Rush anyone with a valid Student ID may purchase any available seat for only $5!

By Phone: Call the Box Office at (209) 725-TKTS.  *All reservations made by phone require a Visa or Mastercard and will be charged a $2 handling fee.

In Person: The Playhouse Merced Box Office is open from 12PM - 6pm, Tuesday through Saturday and 1-hour prior to each performance.

Box Office FAQ's

What methods of payment do you accept?
We gladly accept cash, personal checks, Visa and Mastercard. Proper identification may be required when paying by check or credit credit card.

Can I purchase tickets tickets over the phone?
Yes.  For a $2 handling fee, tickets may be purchased over the phone with a valid Visa or Mastercard number. Because of our no refunds or cancellations policy, we are unable to hold any tickets without a credit card.


I bought tickets to a show and can no longer use them.  May I have a refund?
No. We have a strict no refunds or cancellations policy; however, with 24 hours advance notice, we will happily exchange your tickets to another performance for a small handling fee of $2 per ticket.


I use a wheelchair or have limited mobility, can you accommodate me?
Absolutely! When you reserve your tickets, please inform the theatre of your special needs and we will do our best to find you appropriate seating.


Do I need to buy a ticket for my toddler?
Unfortunately, we no longer allow children under the age of 5 into the theatre for our Mainstage productions.  If you have any questions regarding this policy, please feel free to call the theatre at (209) 725-8587.


When do tickets go on sale for each production?
As of August 1, tickets for all of our season productions are on sale and available for purchase!                 Back to Top

 

 
BOX OFFICE POLICY

Box Office Policy - 2008-2009 Season

Ticket sales may not be cancelled or refunded. Please check your tickets at the time of purchase to ensure that they are for the correct date and time.  Children under 5 years of age will not be permitted into the theatre.

Tickets may be exchanged for another performance of the same show with 24 hours advance notice, and there will be a $2.00 handling fee per ticket. The exhange fee is waived for season subscribers.

Tickets can only be held with a Visa or Mastercard. Tickets that are not picked up by the start of the performance will be charged to the credit card.

A $2.00 transaction fee will be applied to all purchases via telephone regardless of the method of payment.

Performances start promptly at their published times - generally Friday & Saturday Evenings at 7:30pm and Saturday & Sunday Afternoons at 2:00pm. Latecomers will only be seated when there is an appropriate break in the performance. Please arrive well in advance of curtain time. Driving Directions to Playhouse Merced

From Modesto:

Take 99-S to the 16th Street Exit. 
Continue down 16th Street to "K" Street.
Make a LEFT on "K"
Continue half a block, and make the first LEFT into the parking lot.
You may enter through the doors under the "Playhouse Merced" Marquee.

From Fresno:

Take 99-N to the 16th Street Exit.
Continue down 16th Street to "K" Street.
Make a RIGHT on "K"
Continue half a block, and make the first LEFT into the parking lot.
You may enter through the doors under the "Playhouse Merced" Marquee.

From Mariposa/Yosemite:

Take Highway 140 into Merced.
Continue one block past the Child Avenue traffic light.
When the road forks, stay to the right and continue on to Main Street.
Make a LEFT on "K"
Continue half a block, and make the first RIGHT into the parking lot.
You may enter through the doors under the "Playhouse Merced" Marquee.
