HG Tour 09


The Greater Lauraville Home & Garden Tour will be offered on June 13th from 11am to 3pm. There will be 5-7 houses on the tour, and HNI home renovations will be the highlight. However, several houses on the Tour will be offering exceptional gardens as well as creative use of space, family-friendly renovations, and artistic interior design. Tickets will be sold in advance for $7.50 and $10 the day of the event. Call the Greater Lauraville office at 410-444-9188 to purchase them. Posters will be on sale again this year for $5. Last year's poster will be available as well.
 
Thanks to Healthy Neighborhoods, Inc., and Signature Landscaping and Poor Boys Garden Center for their sponsorship of the event! Also, thanks to Todd Brizzi for the excellent design of the poster.

As an added incentive, the American Chemistry Society will be on hand at Hall Spring and will analyze soil samples for free for the first 50 neighbors who are interested in checking out the health of their yard/garden.

Wear old clothes and sturdy shoes. 
Gloves, bags & shovels provided.

Baltimore Green Week kicks off with Baltimore's premier green event, EcoFestival, on April 18th, 2009, as a celebration of our regional environment. Attendees will find fun family events and resources that promote sustainable living. Held in Druid Hill Park, near the Woodberry light rail stop, bus lines and Jones Falls trail, the EcoFestival will include workshops, demonstrations, vendors with sustainable products, healthy food, music and art. A clean up of the property to prepare for planting is being held on Saturday, April 18th from 9-11 am (rain date April 19th).

The 3rd Annual Hamilton Art Crawl, extending to Lauraville this year, is quickly approaching. As part of the weekend festivities, a Bizarre Bazaar Arts and Craft Market is planned. The price per space is $30 each. The location at Faith Community Church at 5315 Harford Road. This event is rain or shine - spaces will be available both inside and out. Tables will not be provided.
Many plans are in the works to attract more shoppers into the are. There will be Shuttle to provide transportation to the various events happening on Harford Road during the event. Various advertising campaigns are planned as to drawl a larger crowd this year.
Please fill out the application located on the Hamilton-Lauraville Main Street (HLMS) website & send in with your payment of $30. Once HLMS receives your completed application, you will be sent a confirmation with more information & some postcards if you wish to distribute advertising for the event. Thank you!
