Unit Mission, Purpose and Goals: The Warrant Services Unit is responsible for the apprehension of offenders after a warrant has been issued for their arrest. They assist crime victims in the initial application for an arrest warrant and work with the criminal court and District Attorney’s Office in expediting the process. The Warrant Services Division also maintains responsibility for the maintenance of the department’s active warrant file.

Officers from this unit regularly transport fugitives from other jurisdictions to the Niagara Falls Criminal Court for processing, and when needed, assist the criminal court with judicial security.
