Babysitting allows mom the option of bringing her older child (up to age 5) to play in our explorazone area while taking one of our fitness classes, taking part in a playgroup or even getting a massage. “Baby Bliss” classes introduce baby to infant appropriate developmental play– Let baby explore her/his surroundings with music, texture and small movement while mom and baby have fun and bond. This is both a social class for baby and a support group for mom. “Little Movers” allows the newly moving little one (crawlers, scooters, rollers, and whatever gets them moving) a chance to use their new muscles and skills in an environment just for them. Join in on music, movement and games while celebrating their growth and development. A support group for mom too! "Terrific Twos" is for that adventurous 18 month to 2.5 year old looking to move, dance, act, play and socialize with other "terrific twos"! Mom (or of course Dad) is present and offers a great time to talk about new milestones! Musical Movement classes are designed for mom/ dad/ gram/ even grandpa and child(ren) to move to music, dance and have fun. Use scarves, hats, balls, pom poms, and more! For any age up to 5 with adult. Preschooler classes (Musical Movement for Preschooler and Prima Ballerina]coming soon) are appropriate for 3 years to 5 years and introduce them to a movement class they can do without parent. These programs are an additional fee and run in 8 week intervals. Two Be Fit classes are designed with the expectant mom in mind. All exercises are safe and effective for building strength, stamina and flexibility for your big day and beyond. Ease on Back classes are designed to bring mom and baby close together and while building back your strength and endurance. Zumba Mama! is for the expectant mom, new mom, and even veteran mom to groove and help her get her move on! Both pre and post natal welcome! Cardio Blast is a cardiovascular workout using a 5 lb weighted ball and a variety of styles of cardio movement for a total body workout. Good for both pre and post natal mom (without baby). Fit Mamas Move Stroller Class is for either the pre or post natal mom with baby, toddler or even preschooler in tow. Classes are held at the South Shore Plaza and include a mix of cardiovascular and strength training exercises for a total body workout. Both pre and post natal welcome! EMPOWER! Is for post partum mom (at least 10-12 weeks postpartum with regular exercise) who is looking to take her workout to the next level and empower herself.
Please note: It is recommended that participants be at least 4 weeks postpartum from vaginal delivery and 6 weeks postpartum from c-section to participate in our fitness program. A doctor’s note of approval may be required. We understand that babies may be fussy, need to nurse or feed, or simply need a diaper change while participating in one of our Ease on Back classes– please feel free to use our mother’s lounge at any time. We understand that getting out of the house with little ones may lead to unexpected tardiness– we ask that you try to arrive on time as best you can! |
