| Summer is apon us!
Our shop is busting at the seams with all kinds of new and exciting things. Come in and check out all of our new summer & fall fabrics! Also for all of you Quilter's who plan ahead; we have many new lines for Christmas. There are various samples and kits ready for purchase using many of the new collections.
For those inquiring about the extra building by our shop, it is going to be our new "Creative Sewing Center"! We will also be hosting all of our upcoming classes and lectures there. There will be plenty of elbow room for everyone! Maine-ly Sewing is hoping to have this building ready for our new class schedule, check the web periodically for updates. We are very excited to tell our customers that we will be receiving the "Statler Stitcher" which is an upgrade for our Gammill longarm machine. We are hoping to have it set up in the begining of August. Here is a breif descriptoin of what exactly this upgrade is capable of; The Statler Stitcher is a computer software program combined with hardware, which will operate a longarm quilting machine and can stitch almost any design. A Gammill® machine equipped with Statler Stitcher® can handle an intricately patterned king-size quilt in a matter of hours instead of days, and is guided by the computer instead of by hand. The system can determine the pattern size, block size, stitches per inch, repetitions of the pattern and the offset of the pattern. STANDARD FEATURES: Stitch Regulator in Automated and Hand Guided Quilting Interactive Measuring Function Easily size patterns to fill a block Multi-functional keypad on the machine Simple user interface with one-page display Automatically calculates rows and repeats Designs can be flipped horizontally and vertically Pattern rotation at any angle Custom-design your own patterns Enhanced Record Mode Automated Stitch-in-a-ditch LED Light Fixture (with Black Light) Meets or exceeds applicable UL and CSA safety standards (select models)
