Club Year, and Age Groups:
Club soccer works with the academic calendar.
Starting in the Fall. The child is in the same "Under" age group for both the fall and following spring season.

Eligibility:
The cut-off date for age groups is established by our local umbrella organization, EPYSA (Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Association).
Intramural is about fun!
Intramural provides an opportunity for kids to play soccer where other priorities take precedent.  Intramural focuses on providing each child with a well-rounded soccer experience.  The goal is to develop skill at all player positions and assist each child reach their best potential.  This program is not about winning and losing games.  Our purpose is for the children to have recreation, develop new friendships and to have FUN.  Sportsmanship and learning the game are important.

How Teams are formed:
Kids are re-mixed on different teams each season to develop camaraderie within the age group and to expose each child to a variety of coaches.  Teams are assembled each season to be as equal as possible.  This is about fun and a high level of competition.

Communication Chain
Should you have any concerns, comments or otherwise, please pursue your issues according to the following path. Our goal will always be to do what is right for the child and family.

First talk to your Team Coach, then Age Group Coordinator, then Intramural Coordinator, Then come to a Board Meeting.

Older children: Under 7 (U7) and older groups will have two practices per week with 1 game on Saturday morning.  For U-14 and U-19 age groups, there may be additional games played on weekday evenings.

U19:plya 2- 40 minute halves

Each age group has a 5 minute half time.

Player Rating System:
A rating system is used to form the intramural teams.
Parents do the rating and are requested to rate their own child compared to his/her age peers. Be fair and realistic.  This information is shown on the registration form, then the Age Group Coordinators and coaches try to mix the children to make ballanced and fair teams.

Pictures:
The Club engages a professional photography studio to take pictures for both our fall and spring seasons.  We try to make this a reasonable cost.
Children will recieve a form with options.  Make your choices and enclose a check (we cannot take credit cards). Times and locations will be announced, keep aware, watch the website "bulletin board."  Now imagine the chaos of several hundred families arriving at closely scheduled times.
Please be early and patient.  We always use more volunteers at this time.

Parents and Volunteering:
See the "Parents" page.
Lenape Valley Soccer Club is an all-volunteer organization.
WE NEED YOUR HELP.  All parents are encouraged to get involved with their child's activity anyway they can.  Parents are expected to make a contribution of time and/or talent to make this work for so many kids.

Uniforms: The Club Provides a team uniform consisting of Shirt, Shorts and Socks.  Goalie shirts are provided, game balls and field equipment.

Parents need to provide each child with soccer shoes (rubber cleats only), shin guards, and a practice ball (bring to each practice and for home practice).  Mouth protection is optional at your discretion.  Note: all jewelry must be removed for all practices and games.
