Longville's Ice Bocce Tournament

The 2nd Annual Longville Ice Bocce Tournament was held Saturday, February 9, 2008 at 10 AM on Girl Lake in front of Patricks Fine Dining. Despite howling winds, over 100 enthusiastic participants turned out for the competition.

Teams this year consisted of two men and two women.  The entry fee is $20. per team or $5. per person.

Cash prizes were awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams and a trophy presented to the champions.

Tournament Chairman Craig Johnson urged players to register as soon as possible.  As many as 20 teams can be accommodated, and early registration helps advise the committee of the number of Ice Bocce lanes they will need to plow for the tournament to avoid delays between matches.

As in years past, Patrick's Fine Dining remains open for food and beverage and to warm participants.  Registration the day of the tournament began at 9 AM with the tournament beginning at 10 AM.
