CREATING ORDER OUT OF CHAOS Have you ever avoided going into your office because of the chaos you felt upon entry? Have you ever entered your own home or business and experienced a sense of being overwhelmed by all the things that needed to be done? Have you ever misplaced your keys or an important document? Have you ever thought or said, "If only I had two more hours in the day!" Have you been late to a meeting or event because you didn’t have it written down? Have you tried organizational systems, gadgets, and strategies only to find yourself back where you started, or worse off? Have you ever ‘strategically’ put something in a place where you were sure you would remember, and when you needed it you couldn’t find it? These experiences leave individuals with all sorts of emotions; including but not limited to: panic, frustration, anger, fear, disappointment, depression, and many more – all of which are best friends to stress. Are you stressed? Or have you thrown your hands in the air and given up? After having one of the aforementioned experiences, here are the most common reactions I’ve seen people take: - Immediately turn around and go somewhere else.
- Put their energy into doing something else that brings them temporary satisfaction and joy.
- Step over the piles, not looking to the left or to the right, in fear of what else they might see.
- Shuffle through stacks of paper and split them into new stacks.
- Determine that this time everything will get organized once and for all – no matter what!
Doesn’t it make sense to get organized and stay organized so you do not have to deal with the emotions and reactions associated with not being organized? For many, it’s not that simple. Organizing is a melting pot made up of logic, common sense, creativity, shapes and colors. All of which tend to disappear when stress and fatigue are involved. All of which are useless if you don’t understand them individually and if you don’t know how to use them together. You will walk away from this interactive discussion with solutions that work for you! This workshop is perfect for all ages and all venues.

THE INTANGIBLES OF ORGANIZING I think everyone on the planet would agree that being organized has benefits. But would everyone on the planet agree on what those benefits are? And, do we have to agree? I don’t think so. We all have different belief systems about organization. If organizing produces tangible benefits then that is a good thing, right? And if you know this to be true then why don’t you do it and maintain it? In your mind maybe the number of benefits you reap are not enough, or the type of benefits you will experience are not important, or possibly your belief system is holding you back. Why do you want to be organized? Why do you desire for your people to be more efficient? What do you hope to gain? Will it impact your relationships or your career? Do you know which benefits you will reap? The most important and life-changing benefits are the intangible ones. They include, but are not limited to: peace, joy, clarity, creativity, passion and power. You cannot measure these benefits. However, life without them is noticeable by all, unfulfilling for you, and detrimental to your business and its employees. For me, the most important is peace. Peace in my home. Peace in my office. Peace at work. Peace in my relationships. Peace within. Peace is priceless! What is priceless to you? Through this interactive discussion you will, once and for all, be able to experience and live every day with tangible and intangible benefits. This will enable you to leave this earth knowing you accomplished what you were sent here to do!
