Police Officer Miguel Reyes was appointed in 1998. Officer Reyes has an Associates Degree in computer programming and a B.A. in Criminal Justice from New Jersey City University. Miguel joined the ranks of the Police Department after 12 years in the insurance industry, where he rose from mail room clerk to Senior Account Analyst.  Officer Reyes' approach to the Explorer program mirrors his approach to his career - he is dedicated to the belief that through hard work and commitment we can work together to instill the principles of respect and professionalism in our youth. Officer Reyes believes in the Explorer program as a positive avenue to accomplish this goal, no matter what profession a youth participant may choose. Miguel enjoys working out and attending live sporting events.
