Police Officer Lorraine Mapps is a 2-year veteran of the Jersey City Police Department.  With an extensive background in the health care industry, Lorraine worked as a Quality Improvement Representative and Client Service Consultant for Horizon BC/BS before joining the ranks of the JCPD. Officer Mapps enjoys the camaraderie and unpredictability of police work. A certified Pharmacy Technician, Officer Mapps is also a college student working on her B.A. in Public Health from Rutgers,  State University of New Jersey.  Lorraine has been involved in volunteer work in the past, working as a Street Outreach Volunteer for Horizon Health Center serving Jersey City's  homeless youth. Officer Mapps volunteer spirit and her substantial management and organizational skills will serve Post 424 greatly - Lorraine is dedicated to the belief that many of the youth in Jersey City simply need to be put on the right path to a productive future, and that it takes a village to raise a child.
