Question: What must be submitted in order to obtain an evaluation report?

Answer:
Completed IEE, Inc. application form.
Photocopies of all academic records.
Payment in the form of a law firm check, cashier's check, or money order (no personal checks).
Stamped, self-addressed envelope (If mailing application and payment).

Question: What type of report do I need?

Answer: We have two types of reports.  The "Document report" identifies each educational credential and gives the equivalent U.S.A. education and field of study.  For example, a report might say that one's education from a certain country equates to the Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry in the United States.  The Document report is generally used for immigration, employment, and education where transfer credit is not expected.  The "Course report" gives the same information as the Document report but it goes on to give a listing of each individual course that was taken along with the corresponding U.S.A. grades and credits as well as an overall grade point average.  The Course report is generally used for education where transfer credit is expected and for professional licensing and certification (such as teacher certification).  If you are not sure which type of report you need, we suggest you contact the agency to whom you plan to send your report and ask them which type you need.

Question: How long does it take to get my report?

Answer: Typically it takes two weeks from the date we receive all the necessary information (We cannot be responsible for materials that are delayed in reaching us through the mail.)  Most of the time we complete and mail reports in two weeks, but in some cases it takes up to three weeks, depending on our work load.  If faster service is needed, we offer a rush service (reports completed and mailed in five working days from the day of reciept) for an additional $50 and a 24-hour service (reports completed and mailed the next working day after receiving the information) for an additional $100.  Please note, however, that no reports will be released until the payment fee has been received by IEE, Inc.

Question: My education documents are not in English.  Do I have to have them translated before sending them to you?

Answer: You can choose your own translation company or we can do it for you.  Please submit all documents in both their original language and the English translation.  If you do not have a literal word-for-word translation which was performed by a certified translator, we can have it done for you.  Go back to the main menu and select "TRANSLATION" for more information.  In most cases we can have the translation and evaluation completed in two weeks (quicker service available for additional fees).  Remember that English translations must be performed by a company or translator that provides translation services and be certified.

Question: Can I get an extra copy or copies of my report?

Answer: Yes.  Extra copies are available at the time we do your evaluation for a fee of $10 each.  After the evaluation has been prepared and mailed, extra copies are available for a fee of $20 each upon receipt of a written and signed request.  We recommend that you anticipate any future need for extra copies and request them at the time you submit your application in order to avoid the higher fee.
