Our specialists will come into your home and work with you & your child together. We will give you the hands-on training you need in order to create an environment rich with the type of nurturing that encourages trust and attachment. Your child will learn to take joy in being part of your family. We will work with you and your child's therapist to develop a unique plan specifically designed for your family. We will provide education and resources on Attachment Disorder as well as parent support to help during the healing process.
As an additional modality, we offer the use of PSYCH-K, in addition to teaching you how to connect with your child while confronting the stress. While working with families, professional therapist have found that with 80% of their families, those who use PSYCH-K experience a much deeper sense of inner peace and the relationship between the parents and children, heal much quicker than with out the PSYCH-K (This is optional).

Who We Are
Critical Care Parenting Specialists have a commitment to supporting and advocating for families in crisis; however, if at any time our Parenting Specialists feel your family is in need of services beyond that which they can provide, they will refer you to a trained professional who may be able to better meet your needs. The Critical Care Parenting Specialists are experienced parents who have been trained by a therapist who specializes in Trauma and Attachment. They have a minimum of 3500+ hours of hands-on parent training with traumatized kids, as well as other training and related experience such as being a CASA volunteer, respite care provider, foster parent, and or adoptive parent themselves.
Parent's Praise'.
"Terri Adams saved our foster/soon to be adopted son's life. My husband and I would not have been able to keep him, if we hadn't begun working with Terri the month after we received him from DCFS. We didn't know what to do to care for such a traumatized and violent child. Terri taught us how to communicate with him in his language, on his terms, so he could finally hear with his broken heart and start to heal. Now he is a wonderful, fun, loving and firmly attached little boy A true joy in our lives." Helen Gaskins, Los Angeles, 2007 |
