In the nearly 5 years since Georgia Heart Physicians opened their doors, Dr. Emerole and Dr. Nwabuebo have seen almost 3,000 patients. Both physicians specialize in coronary heart disease, diagnosing and treating a wide range of heart conditions including narrowed arteries, heart valve problems, and heart failure.
At their welcoming and well appointed First Street practice, the pair of doctors use stress test, cardiac arrhythmia monitoring, and echocardiography to screen and diagnose their patients. Once diagnosed, the various heart ailments are treated using medication, angioplasty, and coronary stents. Neither of the doctors performs replacment or bypass surgeries, hoping instead to prevent these procedures from being necessary. Dr. Emerole explains the philosophy of the Georgia Heart Physicians this way: "Our approach is to catch people early by educating patients about early warning signs of disease. We encourage disease prevention through healthy lifestyles including a balanced diet and adequate exercise."

The doctors' work extends beyond their downtown practice and satellite offices in Fort Valley and Milledgeville and Jeffersonville.
Dr Emerole and Dr Nwabuebo, who are both fellows of the American College of Cardiology, also speak at community health fairs to educate Middle Georgia's residents about preventative measures that can reduce the risk of heart disease. Dr. Emerole says that the motto of the Georgia Heart Physicians is, " Your heart deserves the best care, and we strive to provide that care."
