Krostich, the managing partner of Krostich & Krostich, began his accounting and auditing career in 1977, after completing his masters degree from the School of Professional Accountancy of Long Island University (C.W. Post Campus), with the Small Business Department of Deloitte Haskins & Sells (now Deloitte & Touche). He also served as senior supervising accountant with a large regional CPA firm and had his own accounting practice before joining his father and brother Andrew in their firm, Krostich & Krostich in 1989.
During his professional career, he has provided a variety of accounting, tax and auditing services to a wide range of clients, including those in the wholesale, manufacturing, retail, service and not-for-profit sectors.
Henry is a current member of the New York State Board of Accountancy, which is responsible for the regulation of the profession in New York State.
He is a member of the American Institute of CPA's (AICPA), the New York State Society of CPA's (NYSSCPA) and the National Conference of CPA Practitioners (NCCPAP). He is a qualified team captain under the AICPA Peer Review Program and as such, has reviewed the accounting and auditing practices and quality control sustems of 60 other accounting firms. He has served on the AICPA's Peer Review Board, the Peer Review Committee of the NYSSCPA (13 years, including three years as its chair) and is a current member of the AICPA Accounting and Review Services Committee, which is responsible for setting the profession's standards for accountants reporting on compiled and reviewed financial statements and has represented New York State on the AICPA Council (its national governing body).
He has also served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Accounting at Hofstra University.
Henry is married and lives in Great Neck, NY with hs wife Sherry,a nd their two cats. They also have two adult children and four grandchildren. He is a former Boy Scout leader and currenlty serves as a board member of the Great Neck United Community Fund and is the founder and chair (for over 10 years) of the Long Island Gold Coast Triathlon, a fund raising event for the Great Neck United Community Fund.
