Portrait de Jules Breton Etching 7 x 5 inches; 177 x 126 mm. Printed on Japan paper, probably a proof before letters. Breton (1827-1905). Associated with the Barbizon School, Breton specialized in the French peasant as his subject. His best known painting The Song of the Lark is in the Art Institute of Chicago.
