Chapter Championship June 27th @Cranbury GC I would encourage all of you to make use of our Sunday informal golf as practice for the championship. First tee time is 3:04pm and we will add as many times as needed to accommodate players. We are hoping that by moving the tournament to June that we will be able to increase participation. If you have any competitive juices, this is a great way to use them In order to compete, all entrants must have an established handicap prior to the registration deadline and I would encourage all members to establish a handicap index. handicap service through GLMS is part of your membership benefits. If you haven't logged into the main EWGA web site and into the Members Only area, you should do it soon. You may also use GHIN, which is the system to which most NJ golf courses subscribe. Start recording your scores,so you can participate in this fun competition! More information will be forthcoming...
Please see attached document for member benefits that XCEL is offering! |

Women Build Day A hearty bunch of ladies came together to help build a home for the Habitat for Humanity on April 25th. We placed plywood on the roof, for those brave enough to get up there! Others hammered siding up and reinforced with more nails throughout the home. The best part of the day was the cold beer at Nancy's home after our hard work. Thanks Nancy for hosting us!

I've Never Played in a Tournament Clinic A 9-hole Outing occurred on Sunday, April 19th. Three three-somes of experienced and less experienced players took on the 9-hole, executive length Academy Course at Neshanic Valley Golf Center.
The low gross score of 38 was achieved by Pat Harlow. Low number of putts
honors went to Donna Beland. Prior to the on-course play, Elsie Ahrend
provided all in attendance with a first-rate rules review, rules which
were subsequently observed on the course. A great time was had by all, and
Pat and Donna each walked away with a nice prize. Not bad for a windy
Sunday! |
