First Coat: Apply deep penetrating epoxy primer to floor surface (175 to 350 sq. ft. per gal.) Allow primer to cure for about 1 to 24 hours Lightly sand (either mechanically or by hand) the floor to remove any foreign debris trapped in the drying process and smooth the surface (if necessary)
Second Coat: Apply a coat of 100% solids epoxy (150 to 200 sq. ft. per gal.) or high solids polyurethane (250 to 300 sq. ft. per gal.) to floor surface Allow to cure for about 24 hours Lightly sand (either mechanically or by hand) the floor to remove any foreign debris trapped in the drying process and smooth the surface (if necessary)
Third Coat, Finish (Optional to create smoother profile or higher gloss): Apply a finish coat of UV resistant polyurethane with aluminum oxide (added for slip resistance) to floor surface (250 to 300 sq. ft. per gal.)
NOTE: With Thin Film systems, minor defects in the concrete surface may reflect through the floor coatings. If you wish to have a smoother floor, the High Build system is a better choice.
