In addition to our floor coating installation services, we also offer stand-alone surface preparation services for contractors, institutions, or municipalities who will be performing their own coating installations on small- to medium-sized jobs.
Depending on the project, floor conditions will determine the type of surface preparation that is required (i.e., milling, decontamination, degreasing, shot blasting and wet or dry grinding).
We can perform various types of examinations/evaluations/analyses of the concrete conditions (i.e., moisture vapor testing, adhesion testing, core sample drilling, ph level testing) to determine the best method of surface preparation.
Here are some of our surface preparation options:
Option #1
1) Shot blast floor
2) Grind edges with 7” and/or 4” hand-held grinders
This prep option is good for standard epoxy flooring.
Option #2
1) Grind floor with HTC diamond grinder
2) Vacuum floor
3) Grind edges with 7” and/or 4” hand-held grinders
This prep option is great for thin film systems:
• Helps smooth out pitted floors
• Flattens and smooths out poorly finished and uneven surfaces
• Creates a more uniform finish
Option #3
1) Grind floor with HTC diamond grinder
2) Grind edges with 7” and/or 4” hand-held grinders
3) Shot blast floor
This prep option is excellent for severely pitted and/or deteriorated floors:
• Helps Smooth out pitted floors
• Cleans out pits
• Flattens and smooths out poorly finished and uneven surfaces
• Creates a more uniform finish
