Double Broadcast Solid Color Quartz (~ 3/32" to ~ 1/8)
First Coat: Apply a clear binder coat of 100% solids epoxy to floor surface (~ 160 sq. ft. per gal.) While the binder coat is still wet, broadcast natural quartz sand to rejection Allow epoxy coat to cure for about 24 hours Sweep off any loose sand
Second Coat: Apply a clear binder coat of 100% solids epoxy to floor surface (~ 120 sq. ft. per gal.) While the binder coat is still wet, broadcast natural quartz sand to rejection Allow epoxy coat to cure for about 24 hours Sweep off and vacuum any loose sand
Third Coat: Apply a coat of pigmented 100% solids epoxy (80 to 120 sq. ft. per gal.) or high solids polyurethane (250 to 300 sq. ft. per gal.) to floor surface Allow to cure for about 24 hours Lightly sand (either mechanically or by hand) the floor to remove any foreign debris trapped in the drying process and smooth the surface (if necessary)
Fifth Coat (Optional coat to create smoother profile): Apply a pigmented coat of UV resistant polyurethane with aluminum oxide (added for slip resistance) to floor surface (250 to 300 sq. ft. per gal.)

Single Broadcast Solid Color Quartz (~ 1/16)
First Coat: Apply deep penetrating epoxy primer to floor surface (250 to 350 sq. ft. per gal.) Allow primer to cure for about 1 to 24 hours Lightly sand (either mechanically or by hand) the floor to remove any foreign debris trapped in the drying process and smooth the surface (if necessary)
Second Coat: Apply a clear binder coat of 100% solids epoxy to floor surface (~150 sq. ft. per gal.) While the binder coat is still wet, broadcast natural quartz sand to rejection Allow epoxy coat to cure for about 24 hours Sweep off and vacuum any loose sand
Fourth Coat (Optional to create smoother profile): Apply a pigmented coat of UV resistant polyurethane with aluminum oxide (added for slip resistance) to floor surface (250 to 300 sq. ft. per gal.)
