Slurry Double Broadcast Decorative Quartz or Solid Color Quartz Systems (~ 3/16 to ~ 1/4)
|
First Coat: Apply, with a notched trowel or squeegee, a mixture of approx. 1 part epoxy resin and 1 part slurry sand to floor surface (~ 48 sq. ft. per gal.) Back roll epoxy slurry while it is still wet Broadcast aggregate (colored quartz for Decorative Quartz System, sand for Solid Color Quartz System) Allow to cure for about 24 hours Sweep and vacuum loose quartz or sand
Second Coat: Apply, with a notched trowel or squeegee, a mixture of approx.
Third Coat: Apply a coat of 100% solids epoxy (80 to 120 sq. ft. per gal.) or high solids polyurethane (250 to 300 sq. ft. per gal.) to floor surface (clear coat for Decorative Quartz System, pigmented coat for Solid Color Quartz System) Allow to cure for 1 to 24 hours
Third Coat (Optional coat to create a smoother profile): Apply a coat of UV resistant, high solids polyurethane with aluminum oxide (added for slip resistance) to floor surface (250 to 300 sq. ft. per gal.) Allow to cure for about 24 hours
