Double Broadcast Decorative Quartz System (~ 3/32" to ~ 1/8)
First Coat: Apply a clear binder coat of 100% solids epoxy to floor surface (~ 160 sq. ft. per gal.) While the binder coat is still wet, broadcast the colored quartz to rejection Allow epoxy coat to cure for about 24 hours Sweep off any loose quartz
Second Coat: Apply a clear binder coat of 100% solids epoxy to floor surface (~ 120 sq. ft. per gal.) While the binder coat is still wet, broadcast the colored quartz to rejection Allow epoxy coat to cure for about 24 hours Sweep off and vacuum any loose quartz
Third Coat: Apply a coat of UV resistant, 100% solids epoxy (80 to 120 sq. ft. per gal.) or high solids polyurethane (250 to 300 sq. ft. per gal.) to floor surface Allow to cure for about 24 hours Lightly sand (either mechanically or by hand) the floor to remove any foreign debris trapped in the drying process and smooth the surface (if necessary)
Fourth Coat (Optional to create a smoother profile): Apply a coat of UV resistant polyurethane with aluminum oxide (added for slip resistance) to floor surface
