CONCRETE STAINING | |||
![]() | |||
| Water solutions of metallic salts chemically react with the concrete to produce permanent color in the substrate. Concrete staining gives beautiful translucent and variegated shadings that resemble the look of aged natural stone. Stain treatments are often combined with artistic sawcutting and sandblasting to create special effects. Stained surfaces are normally sealed with clear polyurethane to provide easy maintenance and abrasion resistance. Periodic reglazing in heavy traffic areas completely restores the system. Concrete staining is typically used in retail establishments, themed environments, restaurants, offices and custom houses. | |||
