| I have tanned every year for the past few years, but this year after my tan has gone away I have developed white blotches on my arms, stomach, and back. I have not been on any medications or have done anything differently while tanning. Why did this occur? |

| You most likely have Vitiligo which show on the skin as large white spots on smooth skin. That is a symptom that the melonacyte cells are beginning to degenerate.....needs to be treated by a Doctor. The reason for this is unknown. The other reason for the white blotches could be small white spots that are slightly raised. They are caused by scalp fungus that flakes off onto the skin just like dandruff. Extra strength head & shoulders or Selsun Blue will take care of it. |
