Jesus "Jesse" M. Granado, Sr. Jesus “Jesse” M. Granado, Sr., age 81 of the Town of Deer Creek, Outagamie County, WI, passed away with his wife Joyce by his side on Thursday November 19, 2009 at the Cherry Meadows Hospice Center in Appleton after a courageous battle with cancer. Jesse was born on January 1, 1928 in Falls City, TX. He was the son of the late Enrique and Carmen (Casanova) Granado. Jesse grew up in Texas and later moved to the Bear Creek area nearly 40 years ago where he had been working part time. At one time, Jesse was employed at the FWD Seagrave in Clintonville as a forklift operator, but spent most of his working years as a field laborer for Gerard Mares in Bear Creek retiring in the early 2000s. On May 5, 1979 he was united in marriage to Joyce (Knapp) Pahl at the Christus Lutheran Church in Clintonville. Jesse enjoyed his animals, shooting pool, gardening & canning, and having cook-outs with friends and family. Jesse’s family and friends will no doubt miss his great sense of humor. Aiden J. Perry 
Aiden J. Perry, 3 year old son of Roger, Jr. and Wendy Perry of the Township of Larrabee, Waupaca County, WI, passed away Friday November 13, 2009 at his residence from injuries he received during a UTV accident. Aiden was born on February 3, 2006 in Shawano, WI. He was later baptized on March 19, 2006 and attended St. Martin Lutheran Church in Clintonville. Aiden attended Play & Learn Pre-School at the United Methodist Church in Clintonville. With his love for fishing he may have been destined to become a professional fisherman. His favorite book was even titled “Trout, Trout, Trout”. He also enjoyed hunting and tractors. His two best friends were his older brother Carson and his cat Bootie. Aiden enjoyed his “tub time” and liked watching Max & Ruby, Sponge Bob, Dora the Explorer, and Handy Manny on T.V. Although Aiden passed away much too soon, his enthusiastic approach to life will be remembered and cherished by all of his friends and family. Their love for him will never diminish. Milton Bevernitz 
Milton Bevernitz, age 89 of Clintonville passed away Monday November 9, 2009 at the Shawano Medical Center. Milton was born on February 14, 1920 in the Township of Larrabee, Waupaca County, WI. He was the son of the late Christ and Emma (Seitz) Bevernitz. Milton grew up in Clintonville and as a young man became employed at A & P Grocery Store in Clintonville. Milton then decided to serve his country and enlisted in the United States Army where he served with the 41st Infantry G Company during WWII in the South Pacific. Milton earned a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star while serving and returned home at the end of WWII. A few years later Milton was united in marriage to Nathalie Thurk in Clintonville on December 20, 1947. The couple raised a family in Clintonville and were married for 58 years before Nathalie passed away on August 31, 2005. Milton was dedicated to working his entire life. Most of his hours were spent doing masonry work for his family’s masonry and construction business where he built many of the silos for local farmers. Milton worked until 1993 retiring at the age of 73. He was a member of the Christus Lutheran Church in Clintonville and enjoyed fishing. Survivors include: 2 Daughters: Marcia (Hugh) Crane, Chippewa Falls. Peggy Bevernitz, Clintonville. 2 Sons: Mike (Peggy) Bevernitz, Clintonville. David J. Wendrick David John Wendrick, age 54, of New London, passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at the Greentree Health Care Center, Clintonville. David was born on May 6, 1955 in Daggett, Michigan, the son of the late Edwin and Helen (Leichman) Wendrick. He later graduated from Stephenson High School, Stephenson, MI. David drove truck most of his life. He had driven for Ort Trucking, New London, G & J Trucking, Crivitz, WI then for Checkers Trucking, Neenah-Menasha. His hobbies included socializing with friends, going out for breakfast, telling stories and golfing. Thomas Wayne Shelton, age 68, of Marion, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 1, 2009 in New Raymer, Colorado. Tom was born on December 18, 1940 in Ennis, TX, the son of the late Thomas T. and Frances (Harcrow) Shelton. Truck driving was Tom’s passion. Throughout the years he drove for Gainey Trucking, Dallas, TX, Ort Trucking, New London, WI, Eckland Trucking, Neenah, WI and currently for Badger Express, Fall Rivers, WI. While on the road, he met Carol Preston – Anderson, who also drove truck at that time. They were united in marriage on March 29, 1998 in Las Vegas, NV. The couples home base was Marion all of their married life. Tom loved his family, every one of them. He was a fun-loving person who enjoyed joking with people and would visit area casinos for entertainment. Armin "Lee" L. Tank, Jr. Armin “Lee” Leopold Tank, Jr., age 68 of Marion formerly of Milwaukee, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2009 at his residence. Lee was born on November 20, 1940 in Milwaukee, the son of Henrietta (Carey) Tank and the late Armin L. Tank, Sr. He married Jacqueline Unz at St. Albert Church, Milwaukee on November 5, 1966. The couple continued to live in Milwaukee a few years later moving to several communities in the U.S. because of Lee’s medical supply sales occupation. He later worked on computers and was involved in computer maintenance. In 2006, the couple moved to Marion. Lee’s hobbies included enjoying exotic birds, camping, working on computers and working in his yard. Dorothy J. Skogen Dorothy Joan Skogen, age 71, of the Township of Belle Plaine, Shawano County, formerly of Marion, passed away on Friday, October 30, 2009 at the Maple Lane Health Care Center, Township of Belle Plaine. Dorothy was born on July 18, 1938 in Madison the daughter of Lorraine (Hippe) Skogen and the late Paul Skogen. She attended school through the 6th grade in Cottage Grove, WI and in March of 1952 moved with her parents to the Township of Pella. She then attended school in Marion and graduated with the class of 1958. Dorothy had many health problems and was a long-time resident of Maple Lane. She enjoyed embroidery and was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Marion. Howard Fenn Howard Fenn, age 87 of the Township of Matteson, Waupaca County, WI, passed away Monday morning October 26, 2009 at the Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah. Howard was born on June 2, 1922 in the Town of Matteson. He was the son of the late Myles and Mary (Kleman) Fenn. Howard grew up in the Town of Matteson and attended grade school in Embarrass. As a young man he began working for a cheese factory in Embarrass and then served his country during World War II in the United States Navy. When Howard returned home 4 years later, he was employed at a body shop in Embarrass and was united in marriage to Bernice Rapaich on October 13, 1946 in Shawano. The couple moved to Readfield where Howard worked as a blacksmith until 1954 when they moved back to Embarrass. Howard then ran his own minnow business before taking a position at FWD Seagrave in Clintonville as a welder. While at Seagrave Howard became the President of the Local 815 of AFL-CIO for 32 years. He retired from Seagrave in 1988. He was a member of the Clintonville VFW Post 664 for many years and was also an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. One year he spent everyday fishing except for Christmas. He also liked to rebuild snowmobiles and enjoyed gardening. Survivors include: His wife of 63 years: Bernice Fenn. His Daughter: Linda (Stan) Bethe, Minocqua. His Son: Robert Fenn, Clintonville. His Granddaughter: Jennifer (Kurt) Krause, Sparta. 2 Great-Grandchildren: Kirsten & Carter Krause, Sparta. Edwin A. Stern  Edwin Albert Stern, age 94, of the Township of Mukwa, Waupaca County, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2009 at his residence. Edwin was born on April 6, 1915 in Manawa, the son of the late Edwin C. And Ella (Delzer) Stern. He attended grade school in Manawa, later graduating from New London High School. On August 21, 1940 he was united in marriage to Mildred C. Carroll in Weyauwega. The couple has lived in New London all of their married life. Edwin had worked on the Alaskan Highway, built many houses in the New London area and later became employed as an insurance adjuster for Secura Insurance Co., Appleton for over 25 years. Although retired from Secura, Edwin met with other retirees once a month for lunch the past 30 years. Golfing was a passion for Edwin. He was a member of the Pine Hills Country Club, Gresham, golfed with Secura, the men’s scramble in New London and even golfed with Bob Hope. Other hobbies included fishing, hunting, gardening, traveling and enjoying the cottage at Big Lake in Gresham. He also enjoyed working on the Lathe. Making beautiful wood lamps, bowls and candle sticks. Edwin was a member of the First Congregational Church, U.C.C., New London where he served on many committees and belonged to their breakfast club. He also was a member of the New London Chapter #131, Free & Accepted Masons where he had achieved Past Master and Royal Arch. Adeline A. Soldner 
Adeline A. Soldner, age 96 of Clintonville, WI , formerly of Seymour, WI, passed away Friday October 23, 2009 at the Shawano Medical Center following a brief illness. Adeline was born on August 31, 1913 in Ashford, WI. She was the daughter of the late William and Louisa (Guntley) Piehl. Adeline grew up in Fox Lake, WI where she graduated from High School. She then attended college at County Normal in Mayville, WI to become a teacher. Adeline then taught at a country school outside of Fox Lake for 3 years and later was united in marriage to the love of her life Harley Soldner on June 16, 1934 in Waukegan, IL. The married couple started their family and soon moved to Reeseville, WI where Adeline was active with her church and community as a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, and was a teacher and Superintendent of Sunday School at Reformed Church. Adeline was also an active member at that time of the Eastern Star. In 1963 Adeline and her family moved to Seymour, WI where was a past president and Chaplain of the American Legion Auxiliary and also a member of the Seymour Homemakers. Adeline also used her teaching abilities as a kindergarten teacher for Rockledge Elementary School for 23 years retiring at age 80. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and was active in Ladies Aid. Harley preceded his wife in death on March 28, 1971. Upon her retirement, Adeline moved by her children in Clintonville where she was a current member of the United Methodist Church and volunteered to read for the children at the St. Rose Catholic School. Adeline had many hobbies including gardening, dancing, bowling, playing bingo, reading, and her weekly sign-in stops at Cindy B’s. Perhaps most importantly she enjoyed being with her family and friends. Survivors include: Her Daughter: Shirley Travnicek, Clintonville. Milton F. Wisnefske 
Milton Fredrick Wisnefske, age 85 of the Township of Bear Creek, Waupaca County, peacefully left us for his heavenly home on Friday morning, October 23, 2009 at St. Joseph Residence, New London with his family at his side. Milton was born on January 13, 1924 in the Township of Bear Creek, the son of the late Henry and Bertha (Buelow) Wisnefske. He was united in marriage to Betty Ruth Hein on June 10, 1950 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Township of Bear Creek. The couple farmed the Wisnefske home farm in the Township of Bear Creek until retiring from the dairy production in1987. Milton was a faithful member of the St. Martin Lutheran Church, Clintonville where he had served as elder and usher for many years. He dearly loved his wife, Betty. They loved to dance and were members of the Jolly Mixers and Jolly Neighbors Dance Clubs, Cecil. Milton’s other hobbies included playing cards, hunting, fishing, gardening, yard work and finishing the evening with ice cream. Leona E. Gould Leona E. Gould age 88 of the Township of Belle Plaine, Shawano County, WI, passed away Tuesday October 20, 2009 at her home. Leona was born on April 17, 1921 in the Township of Larrabee, Waupaca County, WI. She was the daughter of the late Adolph and Adela (Rindt) Kuschel. She grew up in the Clintonville area and was later united in marriage to Lloyd Gould on June 6, 1942 in Clintonville. The couple lived most of their married life in the Town of Belle Plaine. Leona was a member of the St. Martin Lutheran Church in Clintonville. She loved gardening and was devoted to her family her entire life. Survivors include: Her Daughter: Karen (Ronald) Kupper, Shawano. Her Daughter-in-Law: Sharon Gould, Clintonville. 4 Grandchildren: Kellie (Dean) Hartmann, Shawano Kip Kupper, Shawano. Mickie & Mike Gould, Clintonville. 3 Great-Grandchildren: Sarah Hartmann, Milwaukee. Emily & Jacob Hartmann, Shawano. 2 Great-Great-Granddaughters: Charlette Puma & Sophia Hartmann. Her Sisters: Dorothy (Kenneth) Suehring, Clintonville. LaVerne Ullrich, Appleton. Leona was preceded in death by: her parents, her husband Lloyd, a daughter Joan Gould, a son Wayne, and a brother Rueben Kuschel. Funeral services will be held on Friday October 23, 2009 at 11 AM at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory in Clintonville with the Rev. Vilas Mazemke officiating. Interment will follow at the Graceland Cemetery also in Clintonville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 9 AM until the time of the services. Memorials given to the Shawano Community Hospice or the St. Martin Lutheran Church in Clintonville would be greatly appreciated by Leona’s family. Beatrice I. Finger  Beatrice “Betty” I. Finger, age 93 of Clintonville, entered her heavenly home on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at Kindred Hearts of Clintonville. Betty was born on May 10, 1916 in the Township of Bear Creek, Waupaca County, the daughter of the late Phillip and Jennie (Lehman) Hanson. She attended Elm Dale School in the Township of Bear Creek and later worked at Fox River Paper, Appleton and then at Hansen Glove Factory, Clintonville. She married Clifford Finger on December 8, 1943 in Menominee, MI. The couple lived and farmed in the Township of Deer Creek, Outagamie County until 1964 when they moved to Clintonville. Betty owned and operated the Corn Crib Pop Corn Stand on Main St. and worked at Donaldson’s Cleaners both in Clintonville. Her husband Clifford preceded his wife in death on October 21, 2004. Betty enjoyed flowers, gardening, playing cards, bingo, and taking rides in the country. She was a long-time member of the St. Martin Lutheran Church, Clintonville where she was a member of the Ladies Aid. Arvila G. Passehl Arvila G. Passehl, age 95 of Clintonville, passed away Tuesday morning October 13, 2009 at the Pine Manor Health Care Center in Embarrass, WI. Arvila was born on June 13, 1914 in Bear Creek, WI. She was the daughter of the late Otto and Amelia (Abraham) Prellwitz. On May 31, 1933 Arvila was united in marriage to Clarence Passehl in Clintonville where the couple were members of the Christus Lutheran Church. Clarence preceded his wife in death on September 15, 1969. Arvila lived 95 years filled with laughter, love of family, and love for the Lord. Survivors include: Her Daughter: Phyllis (William) Blackwell, Oshkosh. Her Son: Dennis (Sheila) Passehl, Richmond, VA. 7 Grandchildren, 15 Great-Grandchildren, & 9 Great-Great-Grandchildren. 1 Sister: Merva Graichen, New London. A Son-in-Law: Donald Schroeder. Also many special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clarence, a son Jerry, a daughter Dona Schroeder, Sisters; Leona Warden, Lorine Rindt, Edna Clemm, and Brothers; Robert, Martin, Norman, and Rueben Prellwitz. Funeral services will be held Friday October 16, 2009 at 11 AM at the Christus Lutheran Church in Clintonville with the Rev. Willard Hager officiating. Diane (Dalum) D. Groth 
Diane (Dalum) D. Groth, age 61 of Clintonville passed away after a lengthy battle with Multiple Sclerosis on Sunday October 4, 2009 at the Greentree Health and Rehabilitation Center in Clintonville. Diane was born on August 23, 1948 in Clintonville. She was the daughter of Dorothea (Schoenrock) Dalum – Jannusch and the late Herbert Dalum. Diane grew up in Marion where she graduated from high school in 1966. She moved to Milwaukee where she both attended and taught at Metropolitan Business School. Diane was then employed as a bookkeeper for various companies in the Milwaukee area before moving to Marion in 1990. As her M.S. progressed, Diane moved to the Greentree Health and Rehabilitation Center in Clintonville in May of 2000. She was a life-long member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Marion where she was baptized. Diane was a published poetry author, and was in the process of publishing a novel. She enjoyed making crafts with plastic canvass and touched many people with her positive outlook on life. Survivors include: Her Mother: Dorothea (Raymond) Jannusch, Marion. Her Brother: Dan (De) Dalum, Appleton. A Niece: Elizabeth Case, San Antonio, TX. A Great-Niece: Andrea Case, San Antonio, TX. Also many friends, especially: Lynn Brighum & Lisa Aschenbrenner, both of Appleton. Diane was preceded in death by her father Herbert. Funeral services will be held Thursday October 8, 2009 at 11 AM at the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Marion with the Rev. Gisele Berninghaus officiating. Interment will follow at the Greenleaf Cemetery in Marion. Friends may call at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory in Marion from 4 -8 PM on Wednesday and at the church on Thursday from 10 AM until the time of the service. Karen J. Bauman  Karen J. Bauman, age 67 of Marion, passed away Friday afternoon October 2, 2009 at the Pine Manor Health Care Center in Embarrass following a battle with cancer. Karen was born on November 24, 1941 in Lake Geneva, WI. She was the daughter of the late Tony and Florence (Knull) Kiefer. Karen graduated from Lake Geneva High School in 1960 and later met Frank Bauman at the Hacienda Bar near Genoa City. The couple were later united in marriage on March 3, 1962 in Lake Geneva. Frank and Karen lived near Lake Geneva, then moved to Genoa City, and later moved to Marion in 1970. Karen was a current member of the Christ Congregational United Church of Christ in Clintonville since moving to Marion and had been active at church serving on the Ladies Aid and teaching Sunday School. Karen had a talent for singing and was a member of the “Sweet Adeline’s” of Shawano. Her family was her hobby, and she attended all of her grandchildren’s events. Karen also drove school bus for Marion for a number of years and enjoyed spending the winter months near the ocean. Some of her favorite times were spent in Gulf Shores, AL. Karen also loved flowers and enjoyed caring for them around her house. Survivors include: Her Husband Frank. 1 Son: Scott (Marilyn) Bauman, Tigerton. 2 Daughters: Susan (Dave) Mattes, Marion. Sherri (Clarence) Anderson, Land O’ Lakes. 7 Grandchildren: Amanda & Jayme Bauman, Danielle, Cody, & Alissa Mattes, and Brittnay & Brooke Anderson. 1 Sister: Delores (Dan) Baker, Milwaukee. Also many other relatives and friends. Karen was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held on Monday October 5, 2009 at 11 AM at the Christ Congregational United Church of Christ in Clintonville with the Rev. Jill Meyer officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date at the Greenleaf Cemetery in Marion. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 9:30 AM until the time of the services.
