This Section of the Site will cover Bands That I've Been Listening to Recently. I might have just heard about them, or might have heard about them years ago, but I've just started listening to them now. (Or When I write the blurb)

Just a little word on Format:

[Date Added] Band Name: Description of Band
                   Recommendations:
Song Name - Album Name (Notes on the Song)

Note: If the Date says Pre-Construct that means this blurb was on the main page before the construction of this page.
Note2: I don't know all of the Album names, so Don't e-mail me asking for whatever cd they're from.
[4-15-05] Andrew W. K.: Heard about this band while I was at Schum's House the other day. I only got to hear about 30 seconds of a song before we got out of the car, but when I got home My wireless internet remained intact long enough to download a whole two Songs! Wow, Don't I have the most efficient Technology ever (Sarcasm!). I downloaded a few more songs today though And I'm listening to them now, and after a look at a few of they're music videos, it not bad.
               Recommendations:
                       She is Beautiful
                       Take it Off
                       We want Fun
.
[4-15-05] Jinxed: I was watching comedy Central the other day... Premium blend in fact. For those of you who don't know the show, it's a half hour of Stand up Comics. In between each comic, some music plays. and i think to myself "Hey this is pretty good." At the End of the Show Jamie Kennedy (The host) comes out holding up a cd. "let's hear it for Jinxed. If you want to get their cd, go to comedy Central Dot Com for more information." And of Course I laughed at that. This is America, No one pays for music anymore. I promptly went to Limewire and downloaded their cd. I've never heard an All girl band like this before. and They're in my opinion, pretty good. If you want a better description, I'll give ya three words: Fall Out Girl
               Recommendations:
                       Underhand
Bowzer's Castle (Has nothing to do with Mario)
                       To Whom It May Concern
[4-15-05] Flogging Molly: Heard about this Band From Elise in Math. An Irish Band, It says on their website (I prefer using the Band's own description of themselves, rather than someone else's) "Flogging Molly...fuses the traditional music of King's youth with the feverish punk-rock of bands like Stiff Little Fingers, the Pogues, the Undertones and Dropkick Murphys, not to mention seminal influences like the Clash, U2, and David Bowie." That means They've got the quick punk rock drums/rythem and traditional Irish Intruments (Spoons, Mandolin, Violin, Accordian), as well as lyrics influenced by religion. To Sum it up, It's an Irish Folk Rock Band. The First Time I heard them was Devil's Dance Flooor, at about 11:30 at night lying in bed. I was shaking my head and tapping my foot in bed. Great Song, Great Band. In some songs, The Violinist does Sixteenth note Slurs at what sounds like over 150 Bpm. (For those of you who are musically illiterate, That means that there are awesome Violin Parts in these songs).
               Recommendations:
                       Devil's Dance Floor
                       Drunken Lullabies
                       Seven Deadly Sins
                       Saltydog
[4-1-05] Coheed and Cambria: Reese recommended this band to me when he came up to visit from Maryland over the Easter Break. He said the Three songs to download were "A Favor house Atlantic", "Blood Red Summer", and "In keeping Secrets of Silent Earth" I got the first two, but not the last one. The First song to Download was "A Favor House Atlantic". When I was listening to it in the begining I was thinking "Awesome guitar section, this is pretty good" but then the lyrics started... and well, let's just say I was a little suprised at the voice. Donwload this band, and you'll find out why. But Overall I think it's a good band. They also have some songs on www.purevolume.com, but you might as well download from their personal website. More songs, and two music videos.
               Recommendations:
                               A Favor House Atlantic
Blood Red Summer - In keeping Secrets of Silent Earth
Cuts marked in the March of Me - In keeping Secrets of Silent Earth
Devil in New Jersey - Second Stage Turbine
.
[4-1-05] Sparta: To me, this band kinda sounds like the songs I've heard from the Band, Brand New. Also in one part in Breaking the Broken, I'm vaguely (very very vaguely)reminded of Hawthorne Heights. Which is weird because they don't really sound anything alike. I dunno, Make you're own opinions. E-mail me if you think you know a good synonym for this band. Also on www.purevolume.com, They've got the music video of Breaking the Broken on their Personal website.
               Recommendations:
Breaking the Broken - Porcelain (Their Record's "lead song" and When I say that, I mean it's the one that everyone knows, and they have the music video for and everything like that. Kinda like the song "American Idiot" on the Greenday cd of that name, or "Pain" on the Recent Jimmy eat World Cd.
                               Cataract - Austere
                               Collapse
                               Guns of Memorial Park
                               Red Alibi
.
[4-1-05] AFI: I remember a long time ago (Circa: First Mp3 PLayer, maybe 6th grade) I had an AFI (A Fire Inside) song, But I can't remember what it was... I do Remember that Mike recommended it to me, I think it was Girls not Grey... Not really sure though. Good Band. Bleed Black's a really good song. You can listen to some of their songs on their website. And it's got all the lyrics from 4 out of 5 albums and got some guitar tabs for some songs.
               Recommendations:
Bleed Black - Sing the Sorrow
Girls not Grey - Sing the Sorrow
The Last Kiss - Black Sails in the Suns
.
[Pre-Construct] FM Static: This is a Band that Kerry told me about about a week and a half ago. She Described it as Similar to Fall Out Boy, and I can see where she's comin from but I think It sounds about 70 - 30 with SimplePlan - FallOutBoy. If you like either of the two bands, then you'll probably like them. I do. They've got a purevolume account, and you can go to their website, but my internet is being very mean at the moment an wont let me load the page, so i can't put a link there for you. Sorry. Dam Wireless LAN
               Recommendations:
Crazy Mary - What are you waiting for? (Best Song)
Something to Believe in (Followed closely by this)
Three Days Later - What are you waiting for? (and then this)
The Notion - What are you waiting for? (Most Simple Planny of them)
My First Stereo - What are you waiting for? (Followed closely by this)
.
[Pre-Construct] The Rasmus: I Swear to God this Band Is very very Brain invading. If you're like me and very suceptible to having Songs stuck in your head for days, save yourself the Torment. I like this band, but when I first started listening to them I almost got what I call "The Reason" syndrome. Everyone knows the song "The Reson". Do you know why? Because it was played so much, the radio killed a good song. And with this Finnish Pop/Rock Band it will play over and over in your head. That said, I think this is a Good band. You can download 5 of their songs from their personal website.
               Recommendations:
In The Shadows (Beware: May Cause "The Reason" syndrome)
Guilty - Dead Letters (In my opinion, one of the better songs of this band)
Can't Stop me now (another good song)
Not like the other girls - Dead Letters(A Slower more lovesongy type song.)
.
[Pre-Construct] Motion City Soundtrack: I found out about this band from Mike. Good Band (If it wasn't I might not have put it here)This Rock band put some of their Songs on www.purevolume.com
               Recommendations:
                               A.O.K. - I am the Movie
                               Capital H - I am The Movie
The Future Freaks me Out - I am the Movie (Original Recommendation from Mike)
UPDATE: On July 29th after hearing their New Album entitled Commit this to Memory the Following were added.

.
[Pre-Construct] DropKick Murphys: Found out about this Irish Punk Rock band from Steve Intrabartola. Interesting Story; I only Use Limewire to download songs, don't really like paying for Music (This is America Isn't it), So I search and click the ones at the top of the list. One of the First songs finished downloading was a Version of Auld Lang Syne, sung by them. I had never heard a Punk Rock Band Sing Auld Lang Syne before then. It was to say the least, Interesting. Then the other songs finished and they're pretty good. They've got a purevolume account, but no songs, on their website. Just three music videos.
               Recommendations:
                               The Fields of Athenry
                               Walk Away
                               The Gauntlet
                               The Beer Song (Funny)
.
[Pre-construct] The Offspring: This is one of those rare cases in which I'd heard songs by the band before, but never really downloaded and listened to in Bulk. I'd always have "Want you Bad" or "All I want" on my mp3 player, but I'd never have more than 2 or three songs. And I have to say, It was my loss, this is an awesome band. You can listen to practically all of their songs from their wesbtei, as well as stream all of their music videos. Here's an Interesting Fact I found out by looking at the website's Bio page.
"2000: The group is hit with a cease-and-desist order from file-sharing service Napster after offering T-shirts sporting the company‘s famed logo for sale on the band‘s website. The band defends its actions, claiming they were simply “sharing“ the logo with fans.
The band spawns more controversy when they decide to offer their new album Conspiracy Of One free of charge via the Internet prior to its initial November release date. Fans downloading the record were automatically registered in a contest to be awarded $1,000,000 directly from the band (live on MTV) on the day of the album‘s release. Fans who go on to buy the record are awarded membership in the Offspring Nation digital fan club, receiving exclusive downloads of unreleased material, advance ticket sales, guarded chats with the band and more. Sony Music doesn‘t agree and threatens a lawsuit. The band avoids the lawsuit by making individual singles available on their official website and MTV Online. “The reality is this album will end up on the Internet whether we want it to or not,“ Holland tells the L.A. Times. “So we thought, ‘Why don‘t we just do it ourselves?‘ We‘re not afraid of the Internet. We think it‘s a very cool way to reach our fans.”

               Recommendations:
A Million Miles away - Conspiracy of One
All Along -  Conspiracy of One
                               Hit That - Splinter
                               No Brakes - Americana
Everyone's already heard the Songs "Pretty Fly" and "Original Prankster", so I don't gotta tell you about them. And if you haven't heard them, Then, Shame on You.
Special Delivery - Conspiracy of One
Staring at the Sun - Americana
