 Organizing a wedding is a mixture of fun and frustration. At this time we do not offer wedding planning services... But we do want to offer you helpful tips to make your wedding day as stressfree as possible. Here are some ingredients for a successful wedding:
1. Always get a proof (a sample print) of your wedding invitations from the stationer or printer before giving the go-ahead to have them printed up. Check through the proof very carefully to ensure there are no printing errors, especially with times and places.
2. Be sure to register with several stores so that your guests can have a choice of gifts.
3. Always keep a constantly updated list of responses for last minute changes.
4. Be sure to make a good detailed map of the church and reception for out of town guests. Good directions are an absolute must to ensure that everyone arrives on time.
5. Thank You cards should be ordered at the same time as your wedding invitations so that they will be ready for you to send out after your honeymoon.
6. Before booking your photographer, ensure that they completely understand your wishes and obtain your requirements in writing so there will be no assumptions about the services they will provide.
7. Be sure to have all of your transportation arranged to and from the ceremony and reception.
8. Don’t be afraid to delegate to family members all of the little details that are so important to keep the ceremony and reception running smoothly so that you don’t have to remember everything. That will let you concentrate on enjoying your special day.
9. If you are planning on changing your name, here are some of the things you need to change: Auto insurance, Driver’s license, Financial Account (-Savings and checking, Credit cards, IRA’s CD’s, 401K etc.), Homeowner’s/Renter’s Insurance, Life Insurance Policies, Medical Insurance, Social Security, Voter Registration, Wills and Post Office.
10. And finally, don't forget to enjoy yourself. If little things go wrong, don't worry - this is your special day so there should be plenty of people around to put things right. Relax, have a good time and enjoy the start of your married life.
